dan, that bus stop is in my hometown. my very dejected, abused, apathetic hometown. it used to be a place of promise, but now looks like that.
cindy ... yep. last baby. no more.
gretta ... you're right. very bittersweet. i love seeing them grow into whom they are. if you could just rewind sometimes ...
duckie ... as i mentioned ... my hometown. that's a place along a rural road where kids could get out of the rain while waiting forever for a bus. i don't know exactly why i put it in this post. i've just always noticed it and decided to take a picture of it. it really makes no sense whatsoever to what my post is about. at least some guy named "chaz '04" thinks it's cool, apparently.
mamalujo, i think like that all the time. in haiku's, that is. ;)
actually duckie ... it used to be quite well taken care of. the place used to have life, now everything's dead. that bus stop just epitomizes it.
thanks, belle.
tink, i'm curious ... and i hear this a lot from women ... is it really that different for a guy to be that way? i guess i just can't imagine being any other way.
i'll be honest. i like haikus. it's kind of tongue in cheek to do them, but i actually do like them. particuarly when i have no real other way to describe one little thing succinctly without whining all over the page.

that bus stop - it's not still in use is it? not really? it'd be cool if it were.
Oh, your last baby has stepped from the nest, huh? Poor Eric.
I can imagine it's hard but also great to see them growing up. It's sweet in a saddening way.

Great photos
It be clasping your hand tightly too if that was my bus stop! Yeah I know... I read your comments. I still had to say it.
But seriously? That's really touching that you feel that way about your baby growing up. And I love the picture. You're a good Dad E.

3 things:
1. great haiku - I'll admit it, I'm a sap.
2. bus stop - That's like the Ritz compared to some I've seen around here.
3. I think I have that shirt you're wearing.
thanks, fa.
