i love posting pictures with interpretations. partly because it's cool, partly because i'm lazy, but mostly because you guys come up with such clever stuff.
this sign is in myrtle beach, where one is faced with much sin to tolerate or not tolerate.
db - the comma isn't nearly as awkward as the exclamation point! who is ever really THAT excited?!!!!
dan - it might be a euphemism for aggressive sales tactics. flogging, in medieval terms, is a form of punishment through beating. sometimes people would flog themselves to pay penance in a weird, twisted ... um ... medieval way.
screetus - hilarious. you and i share an appreciation of corporate speak. maybe they talk like that in those scientology churches.
rusty - living in the carolinas, i'm sure you can appreciate the notion of the "fire breathin' pentecostals." there should be some snakes on the sign, too.
spo - clever turn there. punctuation can mean a lot, can't it? and your church sounds like one i'd like to visit.

That town must be one truly strange place to live!
I will think about this more than I can right now as I'm already late - but welcome back and a brilliant return!
Yes. Yes indeed. But no one really likes the comma. It's so awkward.
Er...I got a bit confused there.
To flog something means to sell something in my neck of the woods.
I'm illiterate.
I think adding, "We Breathe Fire" there at the bottom would get the point of their message across a little better.
So it should be (with added words in brackets):
Tolerance of sin is a virtue! (and) to those who lack principles (and have not visited us before, we say) guests (are) welcome!
(by the way) we breathe fire (isn't that cool?)
