Congrats!

We Longhorns lost our in state rivalry game last Friday to Texas A&M, 12-6. What a heartbreaker it was.

i saw that, belle. at least you got your title last year.

we had lost four in a row to those jackelopes before rallying from 28-14 down.

So is Spurrier going to Miami? That seems to be a pretty big rumor going around. Some people in Bama threw his name out there too, but everybody knows NOBODY would leave S. Carolina for that dump!

I always love it when somebody named Bowden gets beat.

spurrier isn't going anywhere. he really isn't. it might sound weird to say that s.c. is a more attractive job for him (even with less money), but it is, given where he's at in his life now and what he wants to accomplish.

when are you guys going to dispense with all that girly padding and the helmets and realise you're just playing a variation of rugby, where the guys only get a gumshield?

;-)

count on a brit to complain about the padding.

seriously, though ... the difference between rugby and football is vast in terms of the severity of contact. football isn't as fluid. it's a series of set-ups, especially the vulnerability of quarterbacks and wide receivers.

basically, if they didn't wear pads, people would die each year, i'm sure.

Congratulations. As another friend of mine put it, "It's a rivalry again."

(I'm honestly not surprised at the outcome of the game. Clemson hasn't been playing good football since that loss to Virginia Tech. Mediocre football might get you a victory over this year's NC State team, but it won't get you a victory in a rivalry game.)

eric, there's probably a joke about wide recievers. we should do a trade off. i'll come and see a live football game and you come see a rugby game. only i'll have to win lotto before i can make it to the u.s.a

A double whisky toast to the gamecocks here from Holland!

rick, you think so? i've questioned that logic. i think more accurately that it's a more-heated rivalry again. clemson fans still hated us before this victory. whether one team always wins or not, i think it's still a rivalry. southern cal/ucla is no less heated because so. cal has won the last 7.

dan, i'm afraid to watch any sporting event over there. you people have riots and piss on people and shit like that, right?

simon, it's good to have a gamecock fan all the way in the netherlands. spread the word: first clempson. next world domination!

I've always been a Clemson fan who likes for both Clemson and USC to win ... unless USC happens to be playing Clemson, of course. It makes both schools look better.

That said, now that football season's almost over, the new game is BASKETBALL.

the new game ain't basketball until football is completely over ... unless, of course, you lost your last game to your hated rival. ;)

congratulations on that. your b-ball program seems to be headed up. this year is going to be tough for us. apparently we've got some great recruits, but i'll believe it when i see it.

The title last year was pretty sweet...oh Vince Young...

The feedback you gave did actually help quite a bit and I was able to incorporate it into my report...so seriously, thanks!
